2024 sees us celebrating 20 years in business. Our journey started two decades ago with two men in a tiny office, but we have now grown into a successful valve and process distributor with a growing team of skilled specialists, bespoke solutions and expanding warehouse.
Our Story Began Way Before 2004
Despite our long and successful careers before we founded Flow Control Solutions, in 2004 we became just another new company setting out with great ideas and what we thought was a new way of doing things. But, we were still two guys in a tiny office with a small area of borrowed warehousing space.
Since then we have become one of the UK’s preeminent independent valve and process distributors with wholly owned and expanding warehouse facilities and a growing team of experienced specialists offering bespoke solutions to an ever widening set of processing industries.

Success Over the Years
Before 2004 Rob was National Sales Director at a multi national distributor, while Mike was a Purchasing Manager for chemical company.
After working together for many years it became obvious to us both that we had much more to offer than our roles as employees of large corporates would allow.
We are very pleased to have been proven correct.
Creating Long-Lasting Partnerships with our Clients
Our customers at every level and in every industry have always been extremely helpful in bringing their requirements to us. Constantly evolving and improving their end products has meant we have been kept on our toes – devising and designing new solutions to match their plans and ambitions, with all the help available to us from our great manufacturing partners.
The feedback loop we have worked hard to create between our customers and suppliers, pulling together the strands of these collaborations and enjoying almost every minute of it has been worth the long hours and occasional brain aches.
Here’s to the Next 20 Years
Within the team here our specialists have grown and developed with the company, bringing all the value added input we know our customers appreciate; anyone can offer a product, as independent and trusted consultants we know what the offer should be, which combinations work and hopefully always achieve above expectations.
At this new milestone, it is great to still feel excited about what we do and realise, we have almost achieved what we set out to do two decades ago … almost.
